The courses required for a Low Energy Electrical License and Limited Electrical License are:

Electricity I

This course covers topics basically DC and DC circuits. The course covers Series, Parallel and Series Parallel circuits. Test equipment is also discussed and explained how to use with DC Circuits.

Electricity II

This course covers topics basically AC and AC circuits. The course covers topics covered in DC but will include how it applies to AC circuits. Series, Parallel and Series Parallel circuits are covered.

Electronics I

This course will cover the basics of Semiconductors, Diodes, Transistors, FET's, Thyristors, IC's and Optoelectronic Devices. The basics of these devices and how they are used in circuits is discussed.

Controls

The course on controls will include topics of some analog and digital control circuits. Binary, Decimal and Hexdecimal number systems are explained. How control circuits are used and applicatiions are covered.

Blueprint Reading

The course on Blueprint reading is a course to give an understanding of different drawing techniques, from basic circuits to house wiring to digital circuits.

NEC Code Course

The Code Course is the course that will cover topics from the NEC and a study guide for the required examination for the Electrical License.

The required course for a Limited Electrical License contains five of the above courses. The Electronics I course is not required for the Limited Electrical License.

All Courses have a requirement of 45 hours. These hours are a combination of classroom instruction, homework and examination time.
